This picture was taken on November 7, 2000 near my home in Colfax, CA. For several years I had been wanting to get a picture of the sun rising over Pyramid Peak, a mountain near Lake Tahoe. The hardest part of this process is figuring out on which day the sun will rise at the correct point on the horizon.
