This picture was taken on April 2, 2002 from Blue Canyon, CA. Comet Ikeya-Zhang is the first naked-eye comet that I've seen since the famous (and spectacular) Hale-Bopp in 1997. The comet appeared to pass very close by the Great Galaxy in Andromeda, also known as M31.
