This 30-minute exposure was taken on July 21, 2001 near Rye Patch Reservoir in Nevada. Cygnus, Lyra, and Aquila are some of the better known constellations in this part of the sky. Deneb, Vega, and Altair, 3 stars within these constellations, make up the asterism known as the Summer Triangle. A popular asterism in Cygnus is the Northern Cross.
