River qualified for the Invitational by receiving all of his championship points from the "Bred by Exhibitor" classes. He also received a gold-plated bred-by-exhibitor medallion from the AKC.

This is the second Kelcorov dog to qualify for the Invitational as "Chaco" BISS Ch. Kelcorov's Bialar Crais, JC, qualified in 2005 by being in the top Twenty borzoi by breed points. Unfortunately we were unable to attend. You can still see Chaco as a 2-year old on the Animal Planet reruns of the 2003 Rose City Classic.
