About Kelcorov

My love for borzoi began in 1962 when I first read about them in the encyclopedia. My first sighting was just a few years later when a neighbor was walking one through the local park. In 1976 - 30-plus years ago - I got my first borzoi - Vilovia's Belovna Svoboda. It was not until 1995 that I got another borzoi and Kelcorov began.

An Integral Part of Life

At a small ranchette in Browns Valley, California, the borzoi have a pretty great set up. They have large runs inside and out, all open onto a large pasture where they are free to run most of the day. When not playing at borzoi ballet in the pasture they might be accompanying me to the Yuba River for a swim, the Tahoe National Forest for a hike or off to the park for a bit of 'education' in the way of confomation handling lessons or Rally style Obedience work outs. Of course coming in the house and lounging on the sofa isn't unheard of either.
